Location

Byeways Byeways Cottage sits above the picturesque village of Cushendun, overlooking Glendun and the Irish Sea to the East, with views over-looking Scotland on a fine day.

Set in its own grounds of roughly half an acre, Byeways is situated off the Cushleake Road accessed by ornate iron gates.

To find our house, follow the road signs to Cushendall / Cushendun either on the coast road to Ballycastle or via the M2 motorway then the A26 to Ballymena (if coming from Belfast). Once in Cushendun, three roads converge at the caravan park. To find Byeways, take the middle Cushleake Road. The cottage is second on the left up the hill.

Cushendun or 'the foot of the brown river' is a small village north of Cushendall. The village was at one time owned by the White family who came from the north of England. In later years, the McNeills, a Scottish family bought the village and the surrounding land from the Whites. As a result, two groups of houses were especially designed which add to the attractiveness of Cushendun. The famous 'Maud Cottages' as they are locally known are well worth a trip to see.
